You need to know the facts about MLM before making a judgment!

Multi Level Marketing is a lucrative business that is present in almost all states in the United States and more than a hundred other countries in the entire world. However, there are still clouds of doubt from the minds of people because of the illegal operation of pyramiding scheme. It is therefore necessary that you understand the myths and the fact surrounding Multi Level Marketing before youset your mind on myths. I see people pass up amazing opportunites all the time because of somthing they heard that is not correct.

I hear people talking all the time about MLM scams, and it just drives me crazy. I have been involved in mlm for many years, and would never be a part of anything that was a scam or not legit.I did a post several months back, called Make Money In Network Marketing, to offer some info into the mlm business. I also did MLM is not a scam. I wanted to take some time and clear up some common MLM myths and expose the truth to those who may have missed those posts.

Myth No. 1 All MLM are scam

A cloud of doubt is always affecting MLM marketing because of the existence of Pyramiding, which is a scam. Pyramiding is illegal in most countries because of its unfair overriding scheme where the upline earns from recruiting as much people as possible. The people coming after him will earn lesser even if they work more than the upline.

The true MLM or Multi Level Marketing is a multi tier distribution model where the people involved in this business earn not only from recruiting but from direct sales or distributorship of the products.

Now, there are some shady guys in mlm that will say what ever it takes to get someone into their group, but that does not make the business a scam. Regardless of the business, some people are just liars.

Myth No. 2 No one makes money in MLM but the people on top

This is really a myth if you are talking about MLM in the real sense of the word. If you are talking about pyramiding that is illegal and unfair for its downline members, then this statement is true “No one makes money but the people on top.”

In a true MLM business the commission structure gives the downline members the possibility of earning good and even to breakaway from its original upline. Being able to breakaway and creating your own team helps the MLM marketer earn good by working hard with his team.

If the upline want’s to earn good, they should help support and assist their downline members to learn the business well. A good mlm mentor will offer coaching to all new business. If he does not work well with team members, and the matrix separates itself from the original upline, the upline may stand to earn very little as compare with the breakaway team.

Myth No. 3 MLM is a get rich quick scheme

Many people believe that MLM marketing is a rich quick scheme, but it is not. This may have come from the notion that uplines earn very good and it may be a pyramiding scheme they are talking about.

To earn good in a legitimate MLM program, it is necessary that you and your team work together in making good sales by assisting each other and training each other to do the business well.

The upline need’s to build a team slowly and assist them in making sure they can market the products properly. In order to train each new team member, the upline should be able to offer support and training to all new members. This will work well with the downline of the downline, otherwise known as your second level. Moving down every level, the team needs to be in perfect shape to market the product well and represent the business properly.

MLM Marketing is a legitimate business where many people may be able to earn good if they are able to work the business well. Recruiting a downline is not to get profit from the recruitment but for the sales of the product they are promoting.

MLM is not an easy business. It takes time to build a business, however just because one mail fail in the business does not make it a scam. Forget about the notion that you will not earn well because you joined way later than the rest, thats a crock! This is not how legitimate MLM marketing works.
