10 Tips to Make Money With Your Blog

Weather you already are and active Blogger, or are thinking about starting a new blog, having your own web-site on an subject that interest you can be rewarding in many ways. Below are the top 10 basic tips to turn your blog into a money making machine.
    1. Your Interest
Write about something you enjoy! This is the single most important factor for making a successful blog. Making a blog successful won't happen overnight and does take some work. If you choose a subject that interests you, it won't seem like work. You will enjoy writing on it and sharing with like-minded people your thought on the subject you chose.
    2. Find a Niche
There are millions of blogs out there and simply making another blog that is no different from all the other ones out there won't cut it. Instead find a Niche that doesn't have much coverage yet. Do some research on the internet and see if a blog on the subject that interests you already exists. Chances are it does, but don't worry. Have a close look at the blogs in your field and collect ideas on what you could improve. Once you have you Niche, make sure to stay true to this field by publishing related articles. Many bloggers are all over the place. Staying focused on one subject will make your blog very valuable to people that are interested in the field. They will be coming back to your blog, leave comments, and suggests the blog to other people in the community.
    3. New Content
Write! Offering new content to not only your visitors but also all the search engines is key. But don't just write to show new text. Make sure you have something of value to discuss and something that people are interested in reading about. Many bloggers run out of ideas on what to write about. For that reason they often times write useless information, repeat discussions, or write about a different subject all together. Don't do this! One great way to get new ideas on what to write about is by reading comments your visitors have left on previous postings. It is a great idea to add new content that people are interested in and that your visitors think is worth discussing.
    4. Networking
Find other related blogs and exchange links. Contact the blog administrator and compliment them on their site. Suggest to them to write an article for them that is related to their site. In this article refer to another somewhat related posting on your blog by linking to it. Chances are that the blog administrator would like to do the same on your site. Do this with many related blogs and the search engines will love your site and bring you more visitors.
    5. Marketing
Market your blog. Send out e-mails to friends and invite them into a discussion that you think they might be interested in. Also join social networking sites like dig.com, squidoo.com, and hub-pages.
    6. Become an Expert
Continue to educate yourself on the field that you are blogging about. Over time you will become a true expert on the field. If you have much knowledge on your subject, visitors will value your opinion. They will enjoy reading your articles and continue to suggest it their friends.
    7. Traffic is King
If you focus on the steps above your blog will grow in terms of traffic it attracts. Monitor your traffic using tools like Google Analytics or plug-in modules that all major blogging sites offer you. The more traffic you attract the more valuable your blog will be.
    8. The Money Making Machine
Once you have good traffic on your site, you can start making money. The easiest way to make money is by using a Pay-Per-Click (PPC) model. The most commonly used one is Google Adsense. You can easily subscribe to it and choose where on your site you want adds to appear. Google charges advertisers a fee to based on specific search terms. If the search terms are related to your site, Google will then place the advertiser's text-ad on your blog. If a visitor clicks on it you earned a commission. Usually the commission earned ranges from $.20-$.35 per click. A reasonable Click-Through-Ratio is considered to be 3%. To make this a little easier to understand: If you have 100 visitors per day on your blog 3 will click on an ad. So you will earn about a $1.00/day for every 100 visitors. Not much money you might think? Well, keep in mind that a successful blog can attract well over 10,000 visitors per day and make several thousand dollars per month simply by renting out ad space.
    9. Starting Another Blog
Once your first blog is successful, start another one! Do the same thing as on your first blog. Not enough time to write this much? Then hire someone to write for you. Chances are that over time you will connect with many people that have a similar interest and will be delighted to write interesting, and related articles for your site at a nominal fee.
    10. Quit Your Day Job
Once you see the money coming in, and you have multiple blogs to manage, it might be time to quit your day job!
